About the project
The home improvement and plumbing industry is often shaped by trust, reputation, and word of mouth—but in an increasingly digital world, a strong online presence and brand identity are just as vital. GLES Services, founded by Graham, is one of West Yorkshire’s leading providers of handyman and plumbing solutions, offering everything from garden shed builds to full bathroom renovations. With a growing reputation and loyal customer base, the business was ready to evolve its presence beyond the job site.
Graham approached Northcraft to create a website—but the collaboration quickly grew into something much larger. From the outset, it was clear that this wasn’t just about building a site; it was about capturing the essence of a business built on professionalism, reliability, and genuine care for customers’ homes. Together, we developed a complete visual identity that would set GLES Services apart in a crowded market.
The new identity needed to strike a delicate balance: bold and confident enough to feel established, but warm and approachable enough to reflect the personal service at the heart of the company. We created a tailored visual system using a strong but friendly typeface, inviting colour palette, and real imagery that celebrates the quality of Graham’s work and the trust he’s built with his clients.
While the website itself is simple by design, that simplicity is intentional. It’s built with GLES Services’ core audience in mind—straightforward, approachable, and action-oriented. Easy navigation and prominent calls to action ensure that users can find what they need quickly, whether they’re looking to book a service or learn more about the company. The site doesn’t just look good—it works hard for the business.
This project was a reminder of how branding, at its best, is about more than just design. It’s about helping businesses like GLES Services put their best foot forward—online, offline, and everywhere in between.
Thank you to Graham at GLES Services for his close collaboration.
